The main reason we can continue to offer a free service is because of the many hundreds of Federation budget advisers (at last count there were more than 800) that want to give something back to their communities! These advisers worked with over 30,000 client families last year and between them gave back almost 6,500 hours to the community.
These aren't necessarily special people, or gifted people, they are just everyday people like you
and they do it because they love it!
There are also a number of other volunteer positions with budget
services that you may be interested in including administration,
management committees, community educators and more. There are also a
number of paid positions available with budget services including
Coordinators, professional budget advisers, administration, community
educators and more. The Federation, itself, also occasionally has paid
positions available including Federation accredited Tutors, Field
Officers and national office staff. Take a look at the Situations Vacant
section to see if any of these paid or voluntary positions are currently
being advertised or contact your local Federation service for more
information.
This section also outlines the many benefits to becoming a volunteer
and some information on the extensive and valuable training the
Federation offers. Please take a moment to read this information if you
are interested in becoming a volunteer. If you think volunteering might
be for you then go to the Locate a
Service section on our website and find your nearest Federation affiliated service to contact.
