Field Officer Midland Region - NZFFBS Inc

The New Zealand Federation of Family Budgeting Services Inc supports over 140 community based organisations to provide free, high quality budgeting advice.

The Federation is seeking a full-time Field Officer centrally based in its Midland Region (encompassing Waikato/Bay of Plenty/Central Plateau) to work closely with our budgeting services, representatives and external organisations to support them in the operational areas of funding, recruitment, profiling, coaching, and supporting training.

This full-time position is for a fixed term of one year commencing mid-late January 2009.  Some flexibility will be needed to undertake occasional evening and weekend work and infrequent travel sometimes involving overnight stays.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:

·          An understanding of the current issues of the not-for-profit sector

·          A knowledge of community educational and operational funding opportunities

·          Strong business skills, particularly in planning and marketing

·          A commitment to maintaining high quality services to people in need

·          A positive, can-do attitude

·          Experience in working pro-actively and without hands-on supervision

·          The life-style flexibility to be able to meet the travel and variable hours' expectations of the position.

The appointee will need to be based in their own home and have a reliable motor vehicle to use in travelling for the position, for which allowances will be paid.

Volunteer Budget Adviser - Napier Budget Advisory Service

The Napier Budget Advisory Service is seeking volunteer budget advisers to join their service. Their next training course will be in February 2009 (yet to be confirmed). If you have been thinking about taking on a volunteer role in the New Year then please get touch. They are looking for people with:
