Home Direct

After direct intervention by the Federation, Michael Wright Director of Home Direct, which operates mobile shops, had the following to say, "the decision to provide a pre-pay sales model to customers was made after constructive feedback from various members of the New Zealand Federation of Family Budgeting Services over a twelve month period. Since the release of the new catalogue, the customer feedback has been amazing. Customers have embraced the flexible model which gives the customer more control of their account".

Telecom Accord

Accords were originally negotiated with Telecom South (1990) and Telecom Auckland, whilst an agreement was in place with Telecom Central.   When Telecom New Zealand Ltd. came into being the Federation immediately renegotiated these Accords and a national Accord was put in place in 1995.
